David Dishman has been advising people just like you on their financial needs since 2000. David and his wife of over 20 years moved to Plano in 1998. David and Leigh Ann are the proud parents to two awesome sons, David and Matthew.  As a family they stay involved with their church community of St Andrew UMC in Plano where  David and Leigh Ann have both served as Sunday school teachers and small group leaders for many years.  They have also helped facilitate several Crown Financial Ministry and Financial Peace University classes over the years. They are also supportive of the Boy Scouts of America as members of Troop 259 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, also in Plano. One son has earned the rank of Eagle and the other is well on his way.  David has been involved with Scouting as an Eagle Scout himself, and now as an adult he has held several leadership positions, including Cubmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, Patrol Adviser, Rifle and Climbing Instructor and much more. David believes that our children see what is important to us by what we spend our time on. David and Leigh Ann were recently recognized by the local district for their commitment to Scouting with the “Lighthouse Award”.  David is proud to be a Veteran of the US Army and comes from a family dedicated to military service.

Growing up in a military family allowed me the benefit of moving across the country and seeing things that most kids my age would surely be jealous of.  It also gave me some insight in to the struggles of young enlisted families.  I distinctly remember helping those service members and their families with food and gifts during the holidays and thinking to myself, that I want to do everything that I can to help these families.  Well, that hasn’t changed.  Knowing that over 70% of American households live paycheck to paycheck inspires me to help them get out of that cycle by making better financial choices for a better financial life.
